Default 1/8 buggy rim questions

i am going to start a project that will use 1/8 buggy rims and tires. i dont have any experience with 1/8 buggies so i need a little help.

do all of the 1/8 buggie rims have the same offset?

what size are the hex hubs and axles, if there are different ones for various models please give me the specs.
any info will be appreciated.

The Ofna rims have a very slight offset than the proline rims. The hex is 17mm. Pretty much all 1/8 rims fit almost every car, and the standard hex drive is 17 mm, so most all rims have the 17mm drive.

hey brian thanks for the info.
i do plan to go to my hobbyshop also but i am concerned that what they have to offer wont be what i need. then i will go and build my project, and then find out later that there were other options that would have been easier to work with.

i havent actually done anything yet, but i plan to make a 1/8 scale electric buggy. i know that this has been done before but i plan to do it by using as many parts from an e maxx as possible. i will be making a new chassis and then go from there. i will make it so it will meet all of the roar specs except of course it will be electric.
