Kyosho Inferno VE 4WD: Hard Question (Batteries)
Hi,
I'm relatively new to competitive RC. A bit of background first: I don't race RC cars, we let the car do it itself. Its completely autonomous RC racing.
Last year we cut up an old Kyosho Ultima 2 from the 80's and mounted our equipment on that. It worked but was way too slow, the motor couldn't handle the extra weight well. We won some prize money there so we can afford a new car.
The Mechanical Guys got this car; and a bigger motor for it. I need to find a battery system that will work for this setup. One thing that should be mentioned is that there will be about another 1.5kg of stuff that ends up on top of this car in way of cameras, sensors, and other electronics.
Going with the stock motor there, adding on a lot of weight, what do I need in terms of a battery for this thing to haul ass again?
I'm open to anything. The Mech team thinks they need a lipo source that can source 30V and 100A. I think that's a little ridiculous. Any Insight???
