Dumb ???

I'm new to electric,, so do you want a higher number of kv in a brushless or lower,, what kv is a 20 turn? What's the difference in turn and kv.. Also in lipos which is better 3 cell or 4 cell.. Thanks for any feedback.. Batteries and motors are new to me.. Thanks again

Ok Higher the Kv the more top end speed. Lower the kv the more torque. A lower kv won't have more torque than higher kv, but it will have more torque than top end. Turns from brushed to brushless are totally different. A 17t brushed motor is stronger than a 17.5t brushless motor. Normal brushless motors go from 21.5(sometimes), 17.5, 13.5, 10.5, 9.5, and so on. Also not all motor companies go this way. For lipos 4s is bigger and more run time than a 3s battery. Usually lipos that big are for 4wd cars.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but compared to brushed I am thinking 27t brushed would be close to 17.5 brushless and 19t brushed would be like a 13.5 brushless. Of course if you have the timing advanced in the new esc's and motors the brushless are faster than the brushed. Most 1/10th are running 2 cell and 1/8th are running 4cell.

Yeah i've heard this too.

Actually... compared to motos back in the day... a 17.5 is more like a 17/19 turn... a 13.5 is like a 10.5 turn.

The motors have gotten much faster... stock level racing is almost like mod from back in the day.

I think motor rpm the comparison was good with the 27 and 19 but the gear ratios you can use with the brushless makes the comparison fall apart a little. Then you add a tekin with the boost up and now your 17.5 is as fast as the 13.5 and the 13.5 is smokin the 10.5

So I bought the Electrix circuit.. It's 120 bucks.. I know it won't win any national championship or make me look cool but for the price... I just wanted something I could bash.. On road nitro can be stressful .. Plus any difference between this truck and more $$$ ones seems to be little.. Anyway it has a 20t motor by dynamite.. I want to go to brushless and lipo. Any suggestions on where to start..I would like a good mix of speed and torque.. Thanks guys

Any system that has a 13.5 or 10.5 motor is good. Look at Tekin, Novak, or Castle. All the systems are about the same price, if you don't want the boost, esc's. The castle systems are really good. Since you aren't racing, the sensorless motor won't make a difference. And it comes with the Mamba Max Pro which a GREAT esc. As for lipo's go for cheap ones like Turnigy, Zippy, etc. Since you aren't racing you won't need the big name brands.
