You wouldn't believe some of the setups and solder jobs (cold joints anyone....) I help people with at the track........most of the time I'm just amazed the electronics haven't gone up in smoke already.

And these people are usually also the first to blame "faulty" equipment........go figure

I believe you for sure. I've seen the same type of things here. People never want to accept it as their own fault so they immediately blame the mfg. That's how so many rumors and lies get started about anything and everything within this hobby. And then sometimes there are exceptions where it's true and it really is a POS part or vehicle but that's rare I think.

There are exceptions AND there are faulty electronics even from the biggest and most "trusted" brands......it's electronics......faults DO occur.

And that's why I personally choose brands I know for a fact stand behind and support their own products

But 9 out of 10 times it's just down to user error and/or mismatched electronics.

I ran nothing but Tekin and LRP back in the 90's and early 2000's and never once had a failure of any kind. But of course back then the hype was the "new" 3000mah nimh cells...lmao.

Ha ha ha.....remember those days all to well.

Spent hours picking out and matching individual Trinity cells, zapping, building packs and labeling.......the best ones were saved for finals and race days

Aaaahhh.....the pounding heart and nervous looks down on the timer when you were coming up on the 5 minute mark..........will I make it this time

"Traction control" and ABS on my TX and the GM V12 with ASP (or whatever it was called) that used a gyro to correct the steering.
If I remember correctly I had to connect my steering servo to the ESC

Didn't use it for long though......all the "fun" stuff got banned

Sorry for the OT.

Might be a short in the motor, it might be making too much power when free-spinning going back to the ESC, it might be because I mounted them directly to an aluminum chassis w/ just 1 layer of servo tape, or there may be some random short somewhere causing the problem.

Everyone said running a 7200 KV 4-pole motor was crazy, but I figured I could do it w/ the best electronics and proper gearing. But my gut feeling is, everyone was right and it's a bad idea.
I'd guess motor issues. Odd three failures in succession like that.

May be the motor mismatch as well with the 7200kv?
