Default newbie questions

Hey all
I have just entered the RC hobbie other than what Iv purchased at the toy store this is my first big investment. I purchase a 1:10 HSP Brontosaurus pro 4x4 with brushless engine and esc upgades I have already started to upgrade chassie parts from stock plastic to aluminum .
My question is,Is this considered a monster or a short course? Ill attach some pics so if you would please let me know.
I also upgraded from nihm to lipo.

That looks to me like a Monster Truck.

I have never heard of that truck but it looks pretty cool.
That would definitely fall into the monster truck category. You could really only race something like that in an open monster truck class for any scale and motor type.

That is a monster truck. This is a short course truck (note the body covers the wheels and it is just a scaled down version of a real truck):
