Default RC Asylum (FL) tire selection?

On 10/23/10 I raced at the RC Asylum in Waverly FL. and it was awesome the set up, the people and the racing are top notch! It was my 1st time racing my Slash (open class) on a true clay track and all I had to run was m2 Caliber tires front and rear.

I got better as the day progressed,Q1=DNF,Q2=6th out of 6,A main=7th out of 12 trucks. But my Calibers were just not cutting it despite using a lot of tire compound in between each race and knocking my ESC down to stock specs. Any suggestions on what tire really works well with a hard pack/blue groove kind of track?

If any one in Central Florida gets a chance they should make it out there and run a race. Solid fun all day long.

Thats what I was hearing at the end of the day from a couple of drivers. What do you think would be the best compond to use super soft, soft or medium. I want grip, I just would like for the tires to make it through at least a couple of race days.
