RS Pro vs RX8 vs Mamba Max Pro for 4x4 Short Corse

I was wondering what ESC people would recommend for a 4x4 Short Corse. I have been looking at mainly the RS Pro, RX8 or the MMP. But I am open for other options as well.

Thanks

all 3 will work though the rs pro will be pushed a bit. Also check out the hobbywing xerun 80 or 150 amp

I have run the RX8 and MMp and both work well. On 3s I would run the RX8 and on 2s I wold run the MMp with a external BEC. The external bec is very important if you use the MMP.

How would the Rs Pro be pushed a bit? It does burst amps 208 per phase or 624 total.

The mmp by far and away and it does work just fine on anything from 2s to 6s and you don't need a BEC under most conditions. The only time the internal BEC has issues is with servo's that have high amp draw, in 1/10 situations even w/ 4x4 sct you don't need any of those high draw servo's.. it's not a 1/8 truggy. Stick with known servo's that work well w/o issues and you need to do nothing more than plug it in and it will work flawless. What Castle didnt do was make their 1/10 esc bullet proof for 1/8 users (ps get the MMM for 1/8). Any who the Hitec HS-985MG Ultra Torque Coreless Metal Gear Servo does ~180oz/in torque, and .13 response which is more than enough and only 69. In fact I use that same servo in my 1/8 buggies and it's flawless.

Good question. I've seen many RS Pro's in the 4x4SC's that work well. I've seen RS Pro's in 1/8 buggies (not sure how that works out, but I've seen it).

I run an RS Pro in a 4WD buggy (1/10th) and it runs just fine. I know the short course a little bit heavy, but basically the same concept
