Tekin Hot Wire Help.
Hi, I am using the Tekin hot wire,
I am Running the Tekin 1700 Truggy motor and RX8 with 5s 5800 battery.
Under Setup, then the Timing Proflie, The chart goes from 1-5 then C1-C2.
Looked all through the manual and couldn't find out what any of these really mean.
The defualt setting is C2 (right at the top)
Is this the best place to leave it set at, or should I be looking at something in the middle, say around 3?
Had it out at the last meet, the top speed down the stright was way slower than it should be, even slower than the nitros, played with different size pinions but still didn't get there. (the stright is a fairly long one.)
So i guess any information on the Timing Profile would be appreciated.
Cheers.

TP on the speed control used to change the throttle profile from least aggressive>neutral/linear>most aggressive.
Now it's used to set your timing profiles. LED1 = Stock, no timing boost, etc. C1 (LED6) and C2(LED7) are your custom where you get to choose the drive mode, boost, advance, etc.
LEDs 2-5 are preset advance timing modes.
Check out the Tekin threads or their website for a base setting for your timing settings. I only play with 1/10 for now.

Before you mess with timing you need to get your gearing right. If your top speed is off with a 5s 1700 setup it's not the timing.
