Default Need Gearing Help Fast!!!

Here's what I got. RC8T FT Tekno conversion with a new 1518 1800kv motor. Using the 50T spur gear and will run on 4s and 5s only. I was initially running the 2200kv motor geared at 16/50 and it ran great. Now my question is with the new bigger motor what pinion size can I run? I have a 20T pinion so would that work or should I go down a couple teeth. Not looking for major speed and want to not worry about heat issues. Thanks

Terry

Well I went with the 20T pinion. I used the speed calculator and it is the same speed as when it was geared at 16/50 but with lower rpm's. It's almost 10,000 rpm's lower and on 5s I'm looking at around 50 mph. I did some more searching online and read that 20/50 is a good start with the 1800kn motor and I could even go up to a 22T pinion if wanted. I will try this out in the morning while checking temps and see how she runs.
