Another silly question
I'm a newb at lipo, as made obvious by the thread I just made a few minutes ago..
I bought a new lipo battery and a new charger, It is a 2s 7.4Volt 5000mah battery.. I double checked made sure my charger was set for 2s 5000mah.. but when the reading on the charger got to around 2400mah, it beeped and said charge complete... What am I doing wrong ?/ ! |
If you charged the LiPo right after purchasing it, then that's normal. LiPo's aren't fully discharged when new, so the first charge won't show that you put in the full Mah capacity.

Nope you're fine. That just means that it needed 2400mAh to be fully charged.

New lipos come partially charged....that's what you should expect, somewhere around 50% maybe less, maybe more.

As long as you dont try and stick in in the wrong hole on your charger you should be ok

Someone may have already mentioned this, but here goes anyway...
I noticed the two posts you made and you also mentioned that electric R/C is new to you. I thought it might be worth bringing up that if I'm not mistaken the SC-15 ESC that comes with your Blitz, doesn't have a built in LiPO cut-off. This is serious business as you could over discharge the battery. Not only could this damage the battery, it could end in catastrophe. Just an FYI, melon |
