Son of a...

I don't need it but, I have to get it.

Jmuck69 10-08-2010 11:52 AM

I was holding out for this! This is going in the Amain wish list!

Cameron Kellogg 10-08-2010 11:58 AM

I can't see the details very well, do you have any bigger pictures of it.:lol::lol:

Nice to have a update on the B44 too. Next year should be pretty nice if your racing an AE.

Jmuck69 10-08-2010 12:01 PM

still does indicate if the battery slots are gone or not.

Ostach24 10-08-2010 12:08 PM

Sick buggy glad to see they are adding jc body with it... Cant wait.

jakeb 10-08-2010 12:44 PM

I find it kind of ironic that they partnered with JConcepts on the changes/setup for the car and even used the JConcepts body...yet they still stock the kit with ProLine tires.

???E-Racer 10-08-2010 12:52 PM

I see minimal changes and that's good. Seems like a lipo freindly version.
That a way if people still have the car they can get the new shocks.
And new motor mount.

Aluminum rear hubs are really not neccessary though, ive never broke a plastic one, and my B44 is almost 3 years old.

Ostach24 10-08-2010 02:00 PM

hahaha yeah using proline tires. Well I guess they got cav, can't throw proline under the bus, they got their tires on everything else.

???E-Racer 10-08-2010 03:03 PM

I see they kept the holeshots on it. I guess because AE has a long
history with proline tires and dont feel like dropping them.

Dlewis4 10-08-2010 03:29 PM

Must say... i do like the new body

toyota 2jz 10-08-2010 03:40 PM

i hope it can actually handle in all conditions besides blue groove!! to me the old one was a disgrace to ae just my 2 cents and im a ae/yokomo junkie

vowbeachbum 10-08-2010 04:28 PM

b44.1

awsome!!! just about to get into lipo, and was goiong to get a b44 but now the wait is over and the b44.1 is here...amainhobbies please

B44Zane 10-08-2010 04:31 PM

That body is beautiful! :sneaky:

I also like the motor mount.. Looks nice.

And.. Are those shocks larger volume? They look bigger to me.

Jmuck69 10-08-2010 04:45 PM

Not bigger, just easier to build and maintain. I'm so stoked for this car.

mattleegee 10-08-2010 04:50 PM

somebody was just telling me to not even wait because it will be forever.... now its here!

KWT-NITRO 10-08-2010 05:02 PM

WOOW

i have zero experience in 1/10 offroad and we dont have tracks to run them but i know am buying one :D

whats a good motor for it?? 5.5T

and yes i dont care about the brand, because many see my sig and start asking me questions why do you have this and that

body looks awesome.

cheers

Ali

kman16jr 10-08-2010 05:11 PM

A 6.5 would really be better but if you like tons of power than get the 5.5.Mine has a 6.5 and is awesome in the new indoor tack down here in florida.A buddy of mine runs a 5.5 and it is noticeably faster than my b44.:)

To my eye it now has no motor or battery slots at all. From the pics it looks like a clean sheet of carbon.

What's most interesting is 2.6 fdr. This tells me that there has been changes to the diffs. I am really hoping they have made the same changes we have on the b4.1 diff. Bevelled outdrives for the bearing and a much smoother diff.

Ryan Price 10-08-2010 05:31 PM

Too bad 4wd isn't that popular where I will be running this winter.

R-E-A-P-E-R- 10-08-2010 06:50 PM

Get one and make it popular....

Jmuck69 10-09-2010 06:39 AM

More than likely, it will have the same diff as the FTSC10 & the B4.1/T4.1. Which is nice for spare parts and ease of use. This car is going in my stable.

How can it have the same diff?

Jmuck69 10-09-2010 07:05 AM

Well oviously the gear would be different. But it could have the same outdrives and rings and diff screw.

toobad4u 10-09-2010 07:36 AM

Aren't the B/T 4.1 gear diffs? This still uses the racing ball diff. Maybe outdrives and screw are interchangable, but that would be about it.

He means the FT 4.1's which have ball diffs.

The out drives can not be the same at all. One out drive will always be longer than the other in this type of shaft drive train. The gearbox halves would be a new redesign and they do not look like they are.

D-Rek07 10-09-2010 08:01 PM

why don't they make an rtr b44 and or b44.1?

Because RTRs encourage substandardness.
Word creation ftw.

A disgrace? Learn to drive. I just recently bought a b44 used and it is amazing.

Love it! Imma use that!

Honestly, I think a 4wd RTR from AE is possible. Replace all the CF parts with fiberglass (G-10), standard blue shocks, steel turnbuckles, dog bones F/C/R, old style motor mount, same brush less power plant and 2.4 radio in the other rtr cars. It would still be a little higher in price than the B/T4.1 rtr cars, but it's certainly possible. Be a nice way to introduce more ppl to 4wd racing. Just a thought...

Thomas P 10-10-2010 12:38 AM

There are several nessecary mods to do on this car if you would like it to handle even better...

Split toppdeck front and rear, flip rear tower 180...this will give ya a new car, thats alive :)

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...h_DSC_0235.jpg

Ostach24 10-10-2010 10:52 PM

The car is about the same, I was actually hoping they wouldnt do the same .1 treatment they did with the other cars, but o well I guess. Body looks nice, Wish more would have been changed, but if it aint broke dont fix it applies here.

TomTomTuning 10-10-2010 10:54 PM

Looks like I'll be posting up my older B44 (roller) for sale soon. LOL

I want one of these new ones! But Yikes, Tower is listing it at 369.00

Those mods aren't needed to make it a good 4 wheeler...
