at this price point, i'm gonna give this one a whirl. i'm gonna run saddle three cells with a 1400kv motor and see what's up. i have a caster ex-1.5r too, so i'll report how it compares. this comparison will be nothing more than my opinion, so i don't want any static about it.

Yeah but you can buy the hinge pins screw type for it as a hop up.

It is mainly a jammin x2 with ofna's name on it so technically most if not all jammin x2 parts will fit on it.I already run a hyper 9e and love it but i might have to try this one.

Needs:

-Dirt Guards!
-Better motor mount (that is not going to work for long)
-Something better than E-clips

The layout looks cool but the items listed above will be annoying, especially that junky motor mount. It is kind of a cross between a Tekno mount and a Rc-Monster mount but it will not work like either one. If they want to mount the motor separate from the center diff bulkheads, they need 4 screws like the Tekno. If they want to make it like an RC-Monster mount, they need to connect it to the center bulkhead. What they have may work is they also made a diff top plate that was connected to the motor mount with slots just like the slots in the chassis. 1/8th motors are too heavy to be supported on one end with two little screws in a 3mm chassis.

I agree with all your comments!!!! But, with the changes made....this buggy still should be awesome!

Well their is no need for mudguards because the body is so tight on the chassis and is velcro to the side their is no need.

Hinge pin screw type is offer as an hop up part.

Yo Steve..... what do you think of the motor mount though....? Do you think it'll be ok, or do you think an aftermarket part will be the way to go. I agree that the design as of now MAY be a little weak?! Also, do you think any other bodies will fit? What about your Losi body for your Hyper 9E.......The NEXX8 body is ok, I just like to have options!

Thanks!!

Ofna Team drivers have had hundreds of hours on this car with the stock motor mount with no problems what so ever.

That's the whole idea of this buggy is option parts. It allows someone new or established to venture into electric 1/8 scale at an affordable price point. If it has all the bells and whistles it wouldn't meet that need. The buggy is a great platform with the ability to add hop-ups as the owner wishes.
