my 3s lipos fit perfectly

cant wait to run this indoors
Uh, that's a problem. WTF! Ofna needs to get this info up on their website and onto their distributor's. If this is the case both of the motor options I was initially planning on using won't work. The HK motor is 74mm long and the HPI/Castle 2200kv I think is around 75mm. That really slims the options down for motors that will work in this car. That basically means using an L size motor like the 2650 CC or some of the Hobbywing motors. If this is the case Ofna seriously effed up. I just ordered this buggy two days ago, this aspect may have changed my mind. I was wanting to run a little lower Kv than 2650 and was considering a Tekin motor in the long run.

i think they designed the buggy around the castle motors, as you can see all of the vehicles are offered with a castle set-up. and most pictures show a castle set-up in. nothing a little work can't fix.

but the optional motor mount is a must in my opinion

Hmm, they need to put max motor dimension information in the description. Yeah, on nitrohouse they have it with the 2650kv motor installed. I was thinking of possibly running something closer in the 2000 to 2200 range, enter Tekin. So you think you can get yours to work, you going to run it sensored or unsensored? I'll wait and see how the stock mount performs. Are you talking about the Grid mount that is in the works?

i think it should work just fine give me a day or two. if u look at the hop-ups the mount for the jammin is avalable and fits nicely. i do believe that the max motor length is stated on the site somewhere and in the manual. that with the spacer though. remove the spacer and the stock mount should fit perfectly i think. never tried just put on the jammin one . the only problem is cutting the shaft a few mm for clearance

Do you think the chassis will be an issue for regular racing with medium sized jumps?
Also would I have to run a 6v servo voltage regulator if I use 14.8v of batteries?

I had the same question and found that the pictures in the manual posted at Nitrohouse appear to have cutouts for simple connection of the 4mm plugs.

finishing putting some of the ugrades i bought. some minor issues came up:

1- graphite steering plate did not have a hol for the chassis brace - easy fix drilled a new one

2- cnc steering rack w/ bearings : rack screws did not fit in bearings had to reduce the diameter of one screw by.2 mm

other than that good kit

buying some cmc suspension blocks and the lighter chassis in a few weeks after some testing

1515 sized motors are waAAAAy too much motor for a buggy anyway. The 1512 1800kv is the best option.. the 2650 is a little too much kv iMO. Any of this size motor is perfect in a buggy.. you could even go a little lower depending on your skills and track. The tekno lektron motor I run is a touch smaller than the 1512 and is PERFECT, the best motor/setup i've ever had in a 1/8 buggy.

Yeah, I hear you there and would agree, I just was a little low on cash and wanted to get it up and running before I invested in a dedicated power system for it. I actually have looked at the 1800kv as an option on 4S but wasn't sure if it would have the top end I would like to have on the larger tracks I go to sometimes or for the occasional bash session. I was considering getting the 2650 in either the CC or HPI variety or possibly a Tekin if it can be made to fit; but I am completely open to other options. I will likely run a MMP or possibly a MMM on 4S. Anybody else have their two cents they'd like to chime in with?

Castle has the 1800kv on sale for $60, man that is a steal. What do you guys think?
