whats wrong with my esc??

Default whats wrong with my esc??

i just got an hpi blitz last week and played with it twice only. i was running it last night when it just died. i tried to plug in another nicd battery but i just wont start. it smelled like bu:confusedrnt rubber or something. u guys think the warranty will cover that?

What esc is it? What did u do?

He probably has the rtr. It should be covered under warranty, but it depends. Look at what your warranty says.

It could easily be the motor too. I don't suppose you happened to feel the motor and esc to see if they were hot?

If you got it from a hobby shop I would take it there and see if they can help you. It would be hard to diagnose without looking at it and testing another motor and checking connectors.

Also check your drivetrain for binding, that could cause things to fry really quick.

This is what he warranty says - "Warranty: 2-year limited through manufacturer, valid only in USA, Canada and South America".


The warranty will prob cover it...HPI seems to be pretty good about it. Call them and see what they wat to do.

i've known somebody who's had almost every brand of ESC burn up on them, and all have been covered under warranty, but battery damage caused by the ESC burning will not be compensated.

not even a pair of $300 max amps. (all the more reason to by value batteries)
