Default Timing adjustment on 13.5 motor question

Hey all, i have raced for a number of years but had some questions on adjusting the timing on a 13.5 motor. i havnt ran stock since brushed motors and never played with timing on the mod brushless side of things. I have a Orion 13.5 with the newer LRP Speed Controls. I am using a sxx v2 in my buggy and a sxx stock spec in truck, question is when should i adjust timing and by how much...what advantages / disadvantages does it have? i am running on profile 8 out of 10 for boost in the buggy and it seems pretty quick and after about 6 minutes is not hot at all, geared 75/26 in a xxx and 81/23 in a xxxt. I have not tried the truck yet with the 13.5. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

matt

i use the orion motors in my sct, i do not have a 13.5, but on my 17.5, 10.5 and 8.5 i run 0 timing, i just mess with it in the esc...

the lower the timing should give more torque...i use a tekin esc, and am not familiar with the lrp stuff....this is just my observations...

the gearing is what is recommended by orion for the application.
