I'm pretty new to lipo's myself mate and have a similar charger. From what I understand you should use the lipo balance function every 10 to 15 times you lipo charge. Obviously you still plug in the balancer when you charge, You should be able to charge your lipo at 2c which is 5 amps for a 5000 mah lipo or 5.6 for a 5600 mah lipo etc.... But keep in mind the slower you charge the better it is for your battery. As for 30c, check your burst rate, I have 5600's 50C with a burst rate of 100 that fly. Some cheapies might be 30 c but only have a burst rate of 40c. The decent batteries seem to usually double from the base. That's about what I have been able to dig up so far. Maybe some of the more knowledgeable guys could shed some more light.... Hope that helps.

the turnigy batteries are $$$ for $$$ the best batteries out there
and better than some high dollar brands.
i have 2 chargers the same,with them you cant charge a 3s 5000 at 2c as its only a 50 watt 5 amp charger
a 2s 5000 will charge at 5 amps a 3s 5000 even set to 5 amps will only charge at around 4.5 amps
50 watts devide by 11.1 volts = 4.5 amps
both charger and battery are good
