I have an 8.5 in my B4 and I have a 6.5 in my B44... Both are LRP X12 motors and both have PLENTY of power...

Seeing that you already own the motors, why don't you put it in and see how you go.
I run a 4.5T in my DEX410 and love it. Sure I don't win the big events, but I wouldn't win no matter which motor I have in there.
I've tried going down to a a 5.5 and a 6.5 and they seem a little pedestrian to me.
I agree with the others that a 4.5 is a lot of motor for off road, but it just means that you need to be extra careful with your throttle finger.

Btw.. I run a 6.5T in my 2wd as well.

+1... that is what i am thinking.. im only a local club racer. What i have decided to do is try to trade my 4.5 for a 7.5 or 8.5, or even sell it... if not, then i may jus put the 4.5t in my car... we'll see...

7.5 or 8.5 in 4wd? may was well be stock lol j/ks With the right esc setup, you can make them go as fast as a 6.5 easily.

What car are you running?

The good thing with RC cars is that it's quite hard to kill yourself while driving one, even a super powerful.

go with a 6.5 or maybe a 5.5 but that is the max.You really only need 6.5 to clear any jump you throw at a buggy. My b44 flies with my novak 6.5r and reedy saddle pack 35c.

A 4.5 will be over kill. U will never really need that much motor, unless ur bashing. I had a 6.5 in my b44 and it was perfect. That motor set up on the reedy pack will be perfect.

The diff sucks to take out at first, until you find the easy way to do it. First time i did it i took about the whole front end out. After that it was a few screws and slid it through the front.
