Default RC8e/SC8e motor screws

Am I missing something here, or is the only way to tighten those things down is with an L-wrench? I know the instructions say to do it that way, but what a pain in the ass to get at that lower screw. Srsly?

I did a search looking for info, nothing came up though. Maybe I'm just lazy about the screws?

This is why you get yourself an Elite-RC motor mount.

You only have to secure the motor to the (sliding part) mount once, with either M3 or M4 screws, whichever your motor accommodates. Just make damn sure you use blue thread-lock, and that your screws are as long as your motor's holes will allow.

And an important tip for using that mount: only use short pinions, such as those from Robinson Racing or Hot Bodies. Longer ones, like the ones included in the Associated e-Conversion, will not make full contact with the spur gear.

Yep, I cussed the stock Mtr Mount too, the first time......

Those Elite mounts are Nice,
But with a little practice & patience I found that the stock mount is not really that hard to deal with... Now I like It!!
