Default AE B44 vs Durango DEX410

I'm in the market for a 4x4 buggy and would like to know why I should buy one over the other. The Durango has my eye, but what should I know about the B44 before I make my final decision?

read these two posts from the Jconcepts thread.

The second is from a Jconcepts employee. I would imagine the announcement would come in the next couple weeks and should be available before Xmas. That is just a hunch...

Probably the most tunable car out there. Cat is a great performer.

You can almost build a B44.1 right now, it will mostly be the cam style motor mount, V2 shocks and the new alum. hubs....
I will tell you this Mike....I've had two B44 and I absolutely love my Durango!! Love the way it drives, so easy to work

So why do you like the DEX410R over the B44?

I'd like to know the difference as well. I'm thinking of ditching the 410r for a b44.1

Why?

I think he's interested, not in the opinion or preference alone, but the why's. What do you specifically like and dislike and why.

I already like the 410. I just want opinions from people who like the B44 more than the 410 but doesn't seem like theres many of those people out there

Current owner of an AE B44. Just raced this past week and got to drive my buddy's Durango after race night. I liked the way the Durango handled the corners (more corner speed) and how planted it felt throughout the course. It seemed heavy, but very durable and inspired a little more confidence when jumping...landed and stuck to the ground without getting out of shape. The B44 is just as fast throughout the course, but seems more nimble...more so on edge and required more attention to driving vs. being able to through the Durango around the track. The B44 front is somewhat brittle, if you hit something hard (shock shaft & front suspension arm it'll break). I've seen the Durango take a beating and keep on going. Biggest difference (in my opinion only) is Durango launches, lands, durability, easy drivability and depending on driver..maintains corner speed better than the B44. Currently staying with the B44 and plan to relook in time when setups and parts availability are more advantageous.
