Team Durango DEX408.

Trying to figure out what that little arm above the motor mount is. Anyone have any ideas? Hard to tell from the pictures what it does or how its attached. Im wondering if it has something to do with adjusting the gear mesh or something like that.
You can see the little arm Im talking about in this picture, but its hard to tell what the purpose is.

I also agree with whoever said it earlier. Id like to see them redo the steering servo and stand it up sideways to make room for the esc to mount directly on the chassis between the steering servo and the spur gear. It would lower the cog and better balance the chassis. The Rx can get moved to some sort of higher top mount if they cant find room for it. That doesn't weigh anything. Also like the fact that they arent wasting their time (and weight) on a Rx box. Just don't need it with electric.

hmmm this is really what i dont understand they make a 1/10th electric car thats alright, but then they make a 1/8th electric that is just the 1/10th version but bigger.
They should really think about more designs other wise the company is just another one car wonder?

Why change something if it works? It is a combination of the DNX408 and DEX410 and both cars are very quick on the track and easy to work on.

Yokomo MR4-BX, Asso B44, Tamiya 501x and 511x, HB D4, JC BJ4....Most of 1/10th have this layout, it's not a coincidence and so is not that 1/8th buggies done the right way use the same layout.
Come on, your car was maybe the first from a big company to use this layout on 1/8th buggies, that's right and i think you totally nailed it then, but doesn't seem fair to come here and say they copied your design and blablabla.

Anyway the DEX408 has suspension/steering geometry of the DNX408 but rest of the layout designed to get balanced setup. So this is not a traditional conversion from Nitro like most of the other mfg's are but not basically a upscaled 1/10 either. I'd say it's more like best of both worlds

But actually, I think we should take this out of Team Durango's thread if you want to continue arguing about things that have no relevance on them. Well, other than the fact that they copied our 3 year old design and people think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread due to a slightly narrow and different shaped chassis plate.
Now please do not state that TD copied Caster as everybody can see that's not the case no matter how much you'd wish it to be. It's obvious that the only similarity is the selected battery lay-out and even that is done differently. Car is based on the DNX geometry which none of the casters can touch even by a long shot just because the whole concept is different and we are not even discussing the more refined things on the car. So please stop hassling in this thread and making false statements and focus on pushing the Caster cars (and tools) on the market in proper way.
