there is no need to make a new steering rack. ofna now has a new ackerman arm in stock for it that gives more steering and tightens everything up.

I am using the RPM wheels we stock in the shop. They work great and have holes in them so you can adjust your front camber! We have them in black or white. As for the setup i am running.. 7,5,3 in the diffs. 7 front 5 center 3 rear. If you want more steering go lighter in the rear and front (3,5,1). As for oil and springs, ive messed around with alot of spring combos as well as pistons. The best ive found is 32.5 in front and 30 in the rear with stock springs. it comes with 30 all the way around in the kit which works GREAT with the STOCK TIRES! Throw some J Concepts Double Dees on the car all the around and its hooked!! Also I made a modified steering rack to give the car more throw which equals more steering with no slop! Just ask me in the shop anytime you see me if ya need one or got any questions about the car. Look forward to seeing more of these on the track! Thanks guys,

Ray

What did he do to the steering rack to give it more throw? Does it eliminate that piano-looking wire? That thing bugs me how cheap looking and feeling it is.

Ray built a turnbuckle and attached it to long ballstuds with spacers. Give Ray call and he'll give you the part numbers. Btw, it works great.

I sealed up the center diff with gasket sealer from my local auto parts store. No more leaks.

Yes on my hyper mini ste...the center diff housing was warped...and from talking to some guys at mikes....the HyperTT suffers from the same thing. One guy ordered about 4-5 diff housing hoping to get one that is straight.

+1

I opened up mine after I picked it up this week. There was oil in there but some leaked out. I'm gonna redo all the diffs after I get the parts this week and drop a steel spur in there.

Here's what you can do to fix the diff problem even if you think the spur is bad now, instead of using the 2.6mm screw, countersink the spur to fit a 3mm flathead screw by 8mm long, don't worry about the diff case as you will screw into the existing thread. It seems like the mounting surface of the 2.6mm screw makes it warp but with the 3mm you'll find it to tighten and not warp the spur. This will make the spur more of a capablr diff with less leakage, others have put two gaskets with the mod.

how about if you sand the top off the diff case on a flat surface??? maybe provide a better seal??? I remember in my old mugen have to do that to fix leaky diffs.....

The case is not the prob. the delrin just doesn't like the 2.6mm screw, I think because when you screw down the 2.6 it has not bottomed out and continues to dig into the spur causing the warping.

The 2.6mm screws work perfect with the metal spur.
