Gearing suggestions.
I ordered a Tenshock 4600 to try on this.. I am geared 15T with the 3800. What do you suggest i run on the 4600? I actually think i need to be at 14t with the 3800. Temps are fine but i am starting to see puffing out of my 6k pack..

Does anyone else have trouble with the front upper hinge pin cups breaking? I've broke 2 and I checked the shock tower to see if it was bent but it's fine. The cups are actually breaking where the flange is. Is there a better fix for this.

Default some ep qus

Hi everyone, i brought a hyper TT recently, had some EP Qus to ask.

1)My esc stated BEC output is [email protected], so what is the max C for lipo I can use on this esc?
2)How do I find or calculate the max C that the esc can support?
3)I had a motor that stated there KV:3900 so how many turn does it mean?
4)How do I noe how many KV = how many turn?

Thanks !

1) the bec doesnt relate to the C you can use. I have some 20c packs that are way too soft, 30c should be the min.
2) what esc do you have and we can probably tell you.
3) would probably a 10-13tish
4) every mfg has a slightly different kv = turn table. 5700 can be a 8-10t depending on who you talk to. again if you post some more details we might be able to help you.

I had a similiar problem after i came back into the hobby after a long break (i remember cutting comms and replacing brushes all the time) and BL is a whole different beast. HTH

I assume you have the stock esc, that will run on 2 cells lipo.
To make it run on 3 cell you have to connect the fan on the esc to the reciver or replace the fan with one that can handle more volt
.

2)How do I find or calculate the max C that the esc can support?

Same as above.

3)I had a motor that stated there KV:3900 so how many turn does it mean?

The stoch engines are 9t or 10turn

4)How do I noe how many KV = how many turn?

Dont know what you mean, but the motor is 3900kv

Thanks !

Hope this helps

Here is my TT with 17mm adapters on it and 1:8 scale buggy tires.

I know the wheels are beat up... One of the local tracks has a chain link fence that runs the outer straight, and I just cant seem to stay out of it

I like the conversion.... How did the larger tires impact the handling?

Quick question on diff tuning:

any reason NOT to move up to 50k, 70k, 100k or so in the center diff? I have been running 7k and was wondered why we didn't run much higher (heck the center diff in my slash runs 100k!) would make things easier to just have 1 kind of oil on hand.

Both of the radios are FlySky brand. Hobbyking is now selling the same basic thing though for a bit cheaper. The orange/black one is a single model 2.4GHz radio that my son uses. It works really well and is inexpensive. The black one next to it is a 10 model 2.4GHz that I use. I really dont think for the money you can find better Tx's.

Does anyone have a lot of slop in their steering? Most of the play in mine is in the plastic pivot ball holders at the steering hubs. I guess that plastic piece just wears out over time and needs to be replaced.

Also, will this wing fit on the TT?

It possibly will but it's a "Mini" wing.You'd better get a bigger one , for 1/8 truck/buggy.

I have the " VP Pro "V" Wing (White)" from here.
