...Short Course Stuff already (and thankfully i dont dabble in it, did so couple yrs ago when it was simple and cheap--but like many moved on before the biatchfest arrived on time).

no this is from a track owner that is just about disillusioned with the SCT class(es), all the BS, rules changes/propositions, and folks adding their 2 cents in as gospel b/c they post on RCTech alot. guy simply wants to feed his family this yr and with the downtimes we all see out there, he has to get the most racers in the door having the most fun and coming back.

perhaps its a lil localized (local track names), but also seems that its a lil beyond those it speaks to

Hmmmmm.....first of all, you can't please everyone. It's always going to be a case of the have's vs the have not's. As far as ROAR goes, their rules only really apply to ROAR events so what does it matter what they say when it comes to club racing? For the tracks in our area (So Cal), they all have beginner and some sort of Spec/Stock classes to appeal to the newbies.
If there are problems in your area, you (or someone) should talk to the track owners about Spec classes and bringing new people in. If there is interest out there, the track owner will more than likely embrace it.
