Default NooB

I was wondering if someone could help out a noob? I was wondering what would be good batteries to have, for longer run times. I'm just backyard bashing, so having alot of speed isn't too important. Also, what's the proper method for charging? Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, if you have a lot of money to waste, there is a $400 charger sold by Tower Hobbies, which has digital displays and pretty much does the thinking for you on the charging part, and it guarenties a fully charged battery, no matter if it's a 1500 to a 3500.

if you really want a dirt cheap battery that should give you wicked long run time with consistant top-speed, go for the reedy black label 3300 mah ni-mh 7.2 volt battery. it is sold at tower hobbies for $27.00!!! that is an awesome price for that kind of battery! i have 3 of 'em. also look at the Pirahna battery chargers on tower hobbies. you should always get a peak charger too!

I have had good experiances in bashing with the Epic 3000 batts, they dont cost as much as many other leading batteries but they do the job quite well in noob standards.(My Opinion)

I'll second that.

Thanks all for the advice. I'll probably pick up the Reedy's.

If you want the most capacity for the least amount of money, I find the Epic 3000MAH Sport Pack the BEST DEAL. It is selling for $18.99 on Towerhobbies. In my opinion this should be the best way to go for you.

You can get 3300MAH packs from Peak Performance or Reedy for $26. But you would be paying $7 more just for 10% more capacity.

Have fun.

Any GP3300 stick pack would be good. Make sure you get a charger that has peak detect. Dont want to ever overcharge your packs.
