Hey I am looking to get into racing at LIR and was wondering if anyone could give me some info.

I see they race on fridays and sundays. Is it different classes for each day?

Also what are the classes there? Like 19t truck, 19t buggy, 2wd, 4wd, buggy, truck, under 19t, ect... How do they split the classes?

Friday and sunday both offer the same classes, they will always depend on turnout, but there is always Sportsman (run anything, intended for novice racers), 19t 2wd buggy, Mod 2wd buggy. Truck and 4wd vary, sometimes they run together if numbers are low, some weeks there is 2 heats of each. Running a 2wd buggy is your best bet.

My brother has a Kyosho Ultima RB5 now. I am considering getting a Losi XXX-T but how do you think the truck will be on such a tight track? I am thinking I might just get a buggy since the track is pretty tight.

What's the tire of choice for this track? I live in Mass. and plan on making some road trips down there this winter.

The new CR is dialed on this track, 2 guys I know that just got them were faster than their 19t buggys with the truck. Getting rear pink taper pins is a problem at the moment, hopefully they will stay in stock this winter.

Pink compound is a must, most user taper rears, fronts can vary from 02's, 06's, or 07's cut down.

The class with the most entries is 19t 2wd buggy. Truck only had 3-4 in it on sunday so we ran with the 4wd guys.

The RB5 has full parts support at LIR.
