Brandon forget new stuff for now. Just race and practice. That is the best thing you can buy. Taking time off just gets you behind. Practice is the most affordable and best hop-up.

Nothing is 100%, but it looks like the battery will be about 49.99. We will make the final decision real soon.

Picture of what ????

50 is too much dough. Imma find us a cheapie. I would much rather buy a lipo then a 50 dollar nimh thing i can only use for slashing. It twist's my nipples and i don't think i am alone. I also hear it makes no difference due to the esc. Could be a bunch a BS though. I will do alittle research on what others are doing in their spec slash bashes.

a picture of the battery LOL

IR is increased with the 7th cell so you don't reap the entire benefit of the extra voltage. It's the issue that will always remain for spec, the people than can wheel a faster car always want too, and those who can't want to keep it slow, and slow cars react more noticeably to better batteries.

dude, camon 50 bucks isnt alot, a lipo is like 130$ and this pack is like 50, i dont see a comparison, The pack betts picks isnt just a pack he sees online, carl and betts did testing, all i kno is a 6 cell pack was shitty, a lipo was good but not everyone can afford it, therefore the 7 cell is the happy median,

Let's start at the top. The 7 cell is way cheaper then a lipo. Also there is no lipo cut off so you can damage your good battery. The 7cell resistence and all is faster then the 6cell and slightly faster then the lipo. Also with the extra weight the car feels way better.et's look at the battery issue. If we are going to make this a lot of fun I don't want to limit us. 3000 doesn't really allow us to run long mains and stuff down the road. Also like a said nothing is set in stone. By the way I think body painting for these things is around 40. Is 50 that much to power the car and to truley know it is even racing. I don't want a 30c lipo ruining the class

Johny didn't I just see you looking to do some on-road just a few weeks ago.50 bucks is about enough money for a set of tires for one day. The packs we are looking at is like an 85 dollar pack that Orion has sad they will get to us so we can do them at 50, but I'll keep looking at the rules for possible cheaper but quality packs. Man that thread is funny George sure changed his tune fast. hahahah But relax maybe I can work something out

Rob those batteries sound great keeping prices down will equal new racers.God knows we need that. Not everyone runs Lipos so if you were to run lipo many people would have to buy new chargers for lipo thus greater expense. Everyone has a Nimh charger do the math.
Thanks for keeping this cost effective and spec.
