I think the slash class should never be ifmar qual. It's about fun racing. If it gets big enough we will do a baja 500 race with teams and stuff. Guys lets make this happen this could be so much fun and help get new guys started. It also should be less frustrating for newer guys because they will be much more competitive. Less wrenching and just flat out cost effective racing.

We are done waiting on the town. So we are looking for a place to have 2 tracks onsite. Just hope you guys roll out for it. Since it seems 1/8 guys don't have a home track they travel week to week. Thats why wolcott is stopping. We plan to race everything and develop are own regulars. Hopefully you guys also call it home and become weekly 1/8 guys instead of eastcoast nomads. But yes it's in the works. What did you 1/8 guys think of rc madness because it's probably going to be on the smaller side approx 120x60

I got 6 on backorder 1 is for me. sounds like Carl and Andrew are in as well so maybe the day they come in we can have a demo class. Also anyone who is ready to leave a deposit please. Then if that many guys are good to go we can up our quantity. I think these things are going to be i high demand across the country. Would suck to miss the action for a few months

Betts, currently ive been going to the barn every friday night and on sundays we normally tour the north east. The barn has had a great club following this season so you should have no problem having regular weekly 1/8 club racers on LI.
As far as track size, in my opinion madness is kind of tight for the buggys, theres no room for big jumps. CRC in rome is a perfect size track and a good model for any one building a track for scalers. Its sort of like an 8th scale outdoor LIR.
OH, wolcott aint closing! dont believe the hype!

I wouldn't be to sure about Wolcott I was there the day on the ct state champs yeh me and 2 guys. Lester was pretty pissed. I think he might only race once and a while at most. I'd be pissed if 3 guys showed up. He said he had 2 race days all year.
As for track size we are going to be limited. There aren't to many buildings around our area that 1 have enough room for a track 2 have enough room for a track and parking 3 want to have there building have 400 tons of dirt inside and then probably another 600 tons outside
