I wont be down until Friday, unless I stop by tomorrow to pick some stuff up, but probably not.

The kit went together great, no problems at all other then the fact that I hate Associated shocks! I have to have you guys order me a J Concepts body for it so I can get it painted.

Are you running brushless in yours?

No battery debates Rob, I was just having a little fun with ya. I think requiring the kind of specs that ROAR is about to require (hard cases, fire bags) is a prudent move for a trackowner to take. An even more prudent move is to walk around the pits and talk to the racers who are using lipos, especially younger and newer racers, and make sure that they have a really good grasp of how to properly charge, store and handle the cells. The equipment needed and the charging theory are of course completely different. There is really no substitute for not being stupid. The simple fact is that all modern batteries today - lipo and nimh - are storing a tremendous amount of energy in a small space, and we demanding tremendous performance in terms of amp draw, punch and run time -- you have to respect the force we're dealing with here, and handle it properly. And if not handled properly, its another video on U-Tube...

not joining the battery debate but have seen just about every cell since 1700 nicads pop, blow up and plain just burn up....mostly user error...in fact you can see it happen every weekend at the onroad track

I used to use it in my buggy on the old layout and it wasn't to fast it was like a slow 14 turn and it will be even slower in a truck and he was also playing with setup at the time. Andrews truck looked awesome out there Sunday but I dont know what motor hes runing. Merrz is runing a 7.5 in his buggy and its dialed Personally I didn't like how sensitive the throttle was but it seems to be working for him it just takes a while getting used to.and if the 7.5dozent work out well il go to an 8.5 or a 10.5 but the 10.5 Is probably going To be to slow.

Mike if you come down tommorow and I have the body I will probably give it to you but im in no rush you dont have to have it done by Friday but ya sure I will talk to you about it tommorow.

Right now I'm running a 13x2 that needs brushes really badly. Once my Sphere come back from LRP I'll probably run a 7.5 or 8.5, I'm not sure yet.
