Default Slash Truggy

hey guys i finally finished the majority of my fabrication on my slash truggy conversion i still have to get parts to complete the final version but let me know what you think

HOLY #*@%!! You gonna add a 50mm canon to that thing? Looks pretty damn cool. My first concern would be gearing and heat. Seems like it may be heavy, but it looks like it could take a serious beating. I like it.

hahahah yea i know after i built it and but the front and rear ends on i noticed that is was a little on the heavy side and i might make a new model out of carbon fiber im not sure i want to get all the parts first put them on and make my next decision

That's a very good idea. Go through it rough and cheap and fine tune it on the newer one. You could also drill the heck out of this one. I'm sure it'll be strong enough after. That 1/4" or 3/16?

man you put a 550 or mod the motor housing for an 18th scale motor and you have a serious beast here. I need fabrication equipment. hahaha.

the chassis is 1/16 steel and 1/8 aluminum and i am trying to find carbon fiber in decent sheets where i have a lot of extra material but i am happy i did this

The 1/8th is what got me. It looks thicker in the picture, maybe 3/16. hahaha. I think it's a great first attempt. Let me know how it goes with carbon fiber if you get around to it.

it is actually not bad at all the chassis is 1/16 steel and 1/8 aluminum sidewalls

Looks like thin sheets of steel to me. If it was aluminum it would
be alot lighter. But hey use what you already got in place,
run it and see how it is. Now mounting Truggy tires you gotta
have a large hex conversion.

Ive seen people run Truggy tires on a 4wd Slash so this is nothing new to me.
