I want to try a 5s pack. Current setup is MMP/losi 2100 motor.

Thinking it may be too much for anything but the biggest of tracks, but it should be fun.

Anybody run 5s packs as their normal 1/8th race packs?

Ya, on a 1700 that sounds about right... with a 2100 I'm thinking it might just rip everything apart in a buggy.

Maybe I should just be happy with it the way it is for now. Although, I'm trying everything I can to shave those precious tenths off the lap times.

My philosophy was to get the car to where it is TOO much with everything set to wide open then finally take advantage of the esc features to dial it down to perfect.

As is, I feel like I could still use just a bit more power.

Hmmmm 5s, Tekin 1900, and the MMP. Can't wait for that thing to get here.

Just gear up a tooth. Having too much power will actually make you slower. Because it will be suck a handful to drive.

5s with my tekin 1700kv as well. Thing is an animal. Geared 16/46 in my mbx6t and its perfect. 1900kv on 5s is way too much for racing.

Stick with the lower kv motors.
