Get pinions with 2.0mm set screws instead of 1.5mm.

Where would you find something like that? Remember Slash stuff is 48p

Nvm, I use mod1 pinions for my 1/8 scale buggy and the RRP/Tekno pinions had 2mm hexes.

Way to remove any stripped allen screw (stripped head).Take a dremel a whatever you have(dremel is better) and grind the head of the screw(outside,surface that is out of the pinion).Grind your allen wrench(a cheap one).Take your soldering iron (80W or more) and solder the wrench in the screw.Unscrew and unsolder(if you want to keep the wrench).
This method ALWAYS works.
