Default Blue Rhino Lipos... giving them a shot...

Hobbypartz finally had a 3s 5000mAh in stock for a mere $37 shipped. Decided it would be worth picking one up and giving it a comparison against the Turnigy 3s 5000mAh i use.

Has anyone used these lipos before? What were the outcomes?

I'm looking for a good quality 5000 or better, 4s and 30c or better. The only problem I'm finding is that all the cheaper lipos are much larger than the 140mm tray in my RC8Be.

I've been looking at these but don't know anything about the quality. Anyone here use either of these?

if the rc8be uses the same tray / converstion as the sc8e then these lipos fit perfectly...

I measured the battery tray and it's 5.5" or 140mm, this HobbyKing battery is 147mm so I guess the trays for the sc8e and rc8be are different, bummer. To bad because that would have been perfect. Thanks for the link anyway.

I've used both the Blue Lipo 40cs and the ProTek hardcase in my RC8Be and both have worked very well and the fit is good. No complaints with either.

Thanks silversam, I'm wondering if the Turnigy 5000mAh 4S 25C pack measurements listed are perhaps not correct.

Could be.... I've seen quite a few people use that battery in their RC8Be's

This one fits fine too and is just a tad lighter..... http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s..._hardcase_pack

I can run a 10 minute Main with these & plenty of Juice to spare....

I looked at that one also but the guy with Castle Creations said to stay above 5000mAh and above 30c to avoid damaging the esc.
