Default MAMBA BRUSHLESS!!!!!

The original mamba max brushless esc can handle 6-12 cell nimh, but so can the sidwinder 1/10 esc. So my question is, will the sidewinder esc be able to handle 4s lipo with the bec disabled like the mamba max????

Well based on towerhobbies.com, the mamba max esc actually only handles 6-8 cell and the sidewinder esc handles 6-12 cell. so i think the sidewinder + castle bec + fan, would be able to handle 4s.

You might want to double check on Castle's website.

You might just want to buy a mamba max pro to be safe or call castle and see what they say about it.

I did check castle and the sidewinder can run 5-12 cell nimh with the 4600kv motor. And the mamba max can handle the same. so since people are using the mamba max on 1/8 scale motors that are lower than 4600kv on 4s lipo with the bec disabled, then you would think that an esc with the same specs would be able to do the same. by the way i do have the mamba max and im running it with a castle bec, novak fan, 4s lipo, and a losi xcelorin 2100kv motor with no heat proplem. it barely gets warm. but i was wondering if the sidewinder could perform the same at a lower price.

I like the mamba max pro's myself. They are worth every penny.I use the castle bullets going from esc to motor.
