Thumbs up Project: BASHER! (HPI RS4 MT)

Hey guys,

Here are some beginner shots of my new RS4 MT. This is my first new complete kit since I put my Jugg 1 together over 6 years ago. Everything in the pics is new and bought from Great hobbies except for the motor and ESC. However those only have around 10 runs on them so there almost new too This is costing allot more then just picking up one of ebay but I really wanted to build a kit from scratch because it had just seemed like everything I have got in the last few years was either traded or bought used off ebay or the forums. I also want to add that this is one of the last new kits in Canada.

What I have so far:

HPI RS4 MT (full kit)
HPI Mesh wheels
Proline Dirt Hawg tires
HPI purple wheel nuts
HPI thread lock
HPI ball bearing kit
Novak SR
Reedy Kr 10 turn double (zoom zoom)

Parts the hopefully will be here this week:

RC screwz screw kit (taking its time as always)
HPI Woven Graphite Front Brace

All I have done so far is painted the bodies and mount the kit wheels and tires.

Heres the pics.

How it came to me

Getting some goodies

First time using masks, learned a little.

Nice painting, I especially like the inner body.

You may want to also look into upgrading to CVDs and hard anodized shocks for maximium performance.

OK so here it is all finished and what can I say but, SUPER FUN!!! This is by far the most fun R/C I have had to date. For the last few hours I have been bashing this off everything I have seen and all I have done so far was chip some of the chrome off a wheel. I suggest that everyone pics up one of of this for his own as you won't regret it. Just make sure you have the money for a good mod motor because you want speed.

I think I have decited to not do much more to this truck untill parts start to break and then I will start to pick up some mods. I would like to go all graphite in the next month.

Gota love Jessica

Not sure if its the same as yours, but, some esc s like mine, work better if they are vertically mounted. You may want to check the manual Looks awesome!

Looking VERY nice! I'm diggin' the whole physical appearance, the wheels accent the body well... Never did understand why they sold it with street tires on it though...

I looked into one of those once, but decided I wanted shaft instead of belt... My preference still goes! (MRC SB 4wd buggy rather than XXX-4)

How fast is that KR taking you?

Yea no idea either, they're pretty much useless . I ran one pack through them and took them off right after.

THe KR is doing fine but I picked up a Novak BL so I will have that in soon.

So if anyone is interested in that motor lmk.

Those trucks are fun and durable!

I abused mine so much and yet it keeps on going!

Looks good!

I think you will be faster when properly geared with the KR 10T Double than the Novak Brushless Super Sport Unit.

Since you already have an ESC that can handle the power if you want less maintenance I would try the Orion Revolution technology ( V2 ). You get a whole lot of runs out of these motors before you have to do anything.

HOT!!

Thats one of the reasons why I picked up the BL. The motor got warm and the SR got hot. However I may have it geared wrong though. I am not very good with all that fun stuff.
