Hey INC, For $20 shipped you can get the D226 from hobbypartz.com . Im sure someone will say that they are not good or something.... but Il tell you from my actual experience this servo is tough, fast, torquey, and lasts. I have used it with much success in my Electric Losi Eight Buggy (which is much heavier than your T4) and Ive used it for over 5 months. Ive crashed it, smashed it, etc at the track and its held up. A $15 servo controlling a $700 buggy setup... crazy??? yes.. but it works and works very well.

You can also get its little brother servo the D227 which is faster but less torque.... that might actually be your best bet for the T4. Im just here to say that you dont have to spend $60-$150 for a decent servo....

Forgot a link. http://www.hobbypartz.com/60gexidise.html

For 1/10th truck you generally wanna look for something in the .13sec. or less range .10 or less is even better, and something with 90in.oz. or higher of torque.... and make sure it has metal gears and it can handle 6.0v or your speedo is gonna fry the darn thing....

BTW: (personally) AVOID HITEC SERVOS LIKE THE FRICKIN' PLAGUE!!!!

You get what you pay for. If you buy a $30 servo, you get a $30 servo. It's the same for every company unless you get lucky with one. Get a 7955 and it will last years, and when it breaks, chances are hitec will replace it.

Boy, dont you though....I went through several in the 30-40 dollar range. The last time the only servo in the shop was one of the 90.00 dollar associated 1013's...which I think are Ace brand...but whatever.

I never knew how much better a good sero was. I admit the stock sc10 servo was horrible, but the improvement it made to even a terrible drive like me was amazing.

I was in the same boat. I used cheapy servos for ever. Probably went through enough to get the most expensive servo out there. When I finally spend 80 bucks on a servo, I was amazed. Some of the best money i've even spend on an RC.

I've use several Hitec servos (usually got them with the cars used...I'd NEVER buy a Hitec new...) they always seemed great for a while and then they'd stop centering or burn up... NEVEr had a gearset break or strip on me though!!!... FWIW if I can ever afford it agian, I'll go right back to my JR 8800 or 9000 series digitals.... Next time though they come out when I sell the cars!!!LOL

The cheap analog hitec's don't last, but they're cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for... I guarantee a Hitec Ti gear servo will never fail in a 1/10 scale car.

I have used many different brands of high end servo and I would also have to step up in support of Hitec. I have PUNISHED them in everything including super crawlers and if you do break them hitec will replace them and that includes blowing them up with way too much juice from a bec and crawling in 112 deg weather.
