sensored running sensorless?

Is it possible for a sensored system to be running sensorless? meaning the sensor cable removed

if so, will there be any programmable item/s that will not function?

pros & cons pls

thanks

Need more info. What esc and motor? I have a hunch ur talking about a novak havoc system....if thats the case then no, it cant run a sensorless motor.

Just did a quick search and it looks like it can run both :)

if the motor is sensored, can it run sensorless by just removing the cable? what effect will it have? thanks a lot

Usually yes this is the case. It can make the motor "stutter" more at low speeds, but it may work perfectly fine. It depends on the motor, ESC, gearing, etc.

how about the esc programming, will all the functions still operate without the sensor cable? many thanks

could you do it with a MMpro and a Tekin?? I had some problems at my last race and saw that my sensor cable wires were barely connected in the plug, basically torn at both ends :weird: I was able to borrow another sensor cable and no issue's from there. I was afraid to run it w/o the sensor cable and ruin something.

The only thing i could imagine not working is certain timing functions if they exist.
