brian did you forget i not only won at least 4 or 5 races with my mbx5 but won the point series for the season with it

that being said the mbx5 is a great car but so is the kanai

in fact ive decided to sell my mbx5 and try the kanai

not because of any other reason than im just curious i know both are capable but ive never had a kyosho so i wanna try it

i think if i were you i might get a kanai 2 just because a K2 is cheaper than a mbx5 right now check ultimatehobbies $469 for K2

its a different story with the K3 because its more expensive then its a toss up

the best drivers in 1/8th buggy run kyosho so naturally they win all the championships or maybe i shouldnt say best drivers lets say the kyosho team is much much larger than any other team

i usually dont pay a whole lot of attention to what the pro's use anyway since they are being payed or at least getting their stuff for free and that makes them biased

have to admit though the fastest guys (GUYS = more than 1) all drive K cars why i dont know why but they do and none of them even wanna try a mbx5

most everyone will agree that they are pretty evenly matched though at this point when the mbx4 xr was the second best thing to a kanai it was a far 2nd place trust me i know i had a mbx4 xr and it was nowhere near the mbx5

hmm intresting

but they say that the mbx-5 is better for bashing

plus im only going to be bashing mayb once a while ill race(no tracks here)

for just bashing it really makes no difference what you buy

mbx5 better for bashing?? i dont know it is extremely durable but bashing is just that pretty much you run it till you break it isnt that the point to see how far you can push it before breaking

in over 2 years racing mugen buggies ive broken a couple pastic tie-rod ends and chassis brace ends and 2 shock shafts not too bad at all considering the abuse ive put it through

if it were me and i was shopping for a basher i would take a long hard serious look at the new mayhem buggy it looks really nice for cheap also take a look at swift and the hyper 7 series and the lightning buggy

but i think your primary concern ought to be parts availabilty

performance is meaningless if your not racing all buggys will perform great while bashing

To get either of those cars to bash would be an insult to the car. No offense but just get a gs storm or similar if your bashing and save your money. There is nothing you would get out of an mbx5 bashing that others wouldent have. IMO

greddy i got no issue with you wanting a kyosho or kanai for bashing in fact i do understand wanting the best i know i do

but i just noticed you are in the san fransisco area and im having a real hard time believing there are no offorad tracks near there i thought cali was the r/c mecca of the USA

i live in Maryland and ive got 2 offroad tracks within an hour of my house and 5 tracks that i can go to and race and make it home in 1 days time

are you old enough to drive? do you have a car? apparently you've got some money or you wouldnt be shopping in this catagory of race car

im not saying bashing is bad (even though it does bore me to death) im trying to encourage you to get out and race though especially if your going to get this caliber of equipment

trust me its worth it

im completely hooked on racing and most guys i know are its addictive and lots of fun

i'd be racing now if i wasnt selling all my stuff on ebay to buy new stuff

well there is tracks near by like an hour away but my mom thinks a track is pointless where a bashing spot is the same (so gay and dumb)

so im limited to SF

and actually this will kinda be lik a late graduation present

but i hav to pay some of it though
