Default 4.5 HV

My MMP took a crap on me and I have to send it in to Castle for repair. But in the meantime, can I connect the 4.5HV to a Sidewinder. I wasn't running the motor sensored with the MMP.

How did that work out for you not running it sensored? I thought you had to run Novaks in sensored mode? Either way, I am going to say NO, it will not work. Or it will for a short time before you fry the Sidewinder. You may get away with it in a Mamba Max but the Sidewinder, as good as it may be, is the bottom of the barrel from CC and I don't think it could handle the load. I've got 2 Max speedos and 2 Monsters for sale if interested.

You can run any sensored motor on a sensorless ESC . All the hall sensores do is tell the ESC where the rotor is positioned . Its when you try and run a sensorless motor on a sensored ESC that you will have a problem (unless it has a sensorless mode) .

Whats the Sidewinders current rating ? You should be OK as long as you are careful with your gearing .
