Default Lipo batt connectors, which size and type?

Just bought a RC8/1700 combo and want to run 4S on it but wondering if it's ok to run 3.5mm XT-60 connectors (which I have) on the batteries or something larger like the 5mm EC5 connectors. Any thoughts?

xt-60 will be fine as long as you can manage to solder the batteries cables to the connector. EC5 are awesome, but overkill.

I'm used to soldering. No problem. Thanks for reply. I like the XT-60 connectors.

Only time you'll have a problem is with 8awg wires if you use hk packs. Otherwise these are super easy to solder.
