Default Rc8 Spur Gear on a vorza?

Will a Rc8 46t lightweight spur gear fit on a vorza? Is there a company besides hpi that makes a 44 or 46t (lw) spur that will fit a vorza?

Did you try that Zmxb spur i gave you? You said it looked fatter but as long as the screw holes are in the same place it shouldnt matter.

By lightweight I hope you mean the plastic one...there is nothing
light about the factory steel unit.

I know people where using the Kyosho ones when AE was backorderd
on the plastic ones.

The Kyosho plastic one fits. I'm using a 46t. I have my center diff raised about 2.5mm as well, so no clearance issues on the chassis. I've read that the RC8 spur will also fit.

Just know that you have to sand the leading edge on the spur for it to slip onto the diff housing. It is a very tight fit, but that is good because it helps prevent leaking.

I've gotten great wear from my 46t spur. Bought two of them, and other is still in the package.

It looks like we took two different routes to end up in the same place. I've got the 46T Kyosho plastic spur on my converted D8. I used a Dremel to grind enough material out of the Vorza top plate for clearance, then dremeled about 2mm from the front edge of the hole in the chassis. Finally, I lightly sanded the edge of the diff case until the spur would snap into place cleanly. I think that might be a better approach than sanding the edge of the spur.
