We redesigned our HV 550 several years ago for the 5mm shaft rotor; our experience (as mentioned above) was that the smaller shaft was not strong enough in the heavier vehicles.

We also make 5mm pinion gears for these motors---32 pitch and Mod 1.

The reason im going with the ballistic this time is it does not cost that much more than a havok but is completely rebuildable.

I'm not sure if the havok is able to have the stator changed out to a different wind count like the ballistic is either.
In our older motors---Velocitis, SS Pros, HVs, etc---you can replace the rotors, end bells/bearings, but not the wound stators. Our newer Ballistic series motors are completely rebuildable, including the stators.

Thats what I thought I had read on the temanovak website. This is one of the main reasons I'm going with the ballistic instead of the havok. After I get the motor I can change the kv of the motor with a simple 30.00 stator instead of a another 90.00 motor.

Thanks for chiming in Novak. Is 5mm the same size shaft as standard 1/8th scale motor shafts? Also, I believe I'll be running mod .8. As the conversion kit for the losi ten uses mod .8

Thx
