Thanks for the info. Main thing for me would be the durability of the vehicle and how it handled on the track.

its pretty hard to get durability in a 4wd with good handling because beefing up usually means more weight all around

I doubt Jesse will be changing any sponsors after the year he has had. He's a good guy and I don't think he is gonna jump ship on a sponsor that has helped him for a while (Fantom).

Regardless of what the popular belief is, I am a believer that I'll be as good as you pros someday. My ultimate goal in my racing is to put one of my cars in the A at a national event. I don't care where I finish, but before I retire my cars, I want to put myself in the A in a national.

Aaron Waldron - Sounds like you really don't know to much about what is going on in R/C yourself. For your information! The cars I am running now are not because there is money involved. As a matter of fact I do not get paid by any company just to race. I have been going to school and took some time off from racing.
I decided to run for X-Ray because I wanted to run what I consider to be the best touring car in the world. I ran the BJ 4x4 because Jason Ruona is a good friend of mine and I would like to help him with his new venture and take down the established old dogs of the industry. New blood in the Industry is good. I get bored easily and need to challenge myself in different ways. Oh and by the way, the car works great. Should have won the Nationals if it werent for some stupid luck.
I ran the B4 because I have always been interested in what it would be like to drive. It worked pretty good, a little nervous and unstable to drive but pretty good. If I had to choose, I would go for the XXXBK edition. Much much more stable and raceable.
I have been at the level of the paid driver and it is not all it is cracked up to be. The money that the companies pay the drivers isn't really much to write home about. Heck, two days after the Reedy Race Chad Phillips from Trinity called and told me that Ernie wanted to pay me 1 grand a month to race for Trinity again. I told him I was going to work for Peak and would be getting health benefits and other things that you do not get when you are just a driver for hire. So I told him no. Unless of course, he would be willing to up the offer. They didn't and I am glad for that. I have great chemistry with all of the people at Peak and don't need money and a unsure future to get in the way of what has been and will continue to be a great combination. Besides, I am in school and cannot committ to as many races that would be required as a paid driver. Working for Peak will allow me to pick and choose from the best events with minimal time loss from school.
Hope I didn't ramble on to much. Just get tired of people thinking they know about everything that is going on with other people. Maybe someday I will fill you all in on everything.

Hodapp, you should write a book when everything is all said and done. Probably open up a few people's eyes as to the life of a RC Racer.
