Default Maxamps 60000XL 11.1v. How much performance increase from...

I was wondering, besides the good safety these packs will provide, how much performance increase you got from using a 3s 5000mah 30c or something to the Maxamps 6000XL 3s package?

Obviously the top speed won't change, but did the acceleration get even MORE extreme in a Savage Flux for example?

I looked at the MaxAmps youtube "advertising" for this package. Didn't look like an upgrade at all actually. Looks like he was running with a loose slipper clutch. They really should make it run its best when shooting an ad to make people buy it.

performance increase and maxamps dont fit in the same sentance, get some 3s G3 VX or VE hyperions packs 4200 or higher mah and youll get a performance increase, its best to put your money in a set of packs you can rely on.

I never even considered going with MaxAmps cause of the ridiculous prices, but now you are saying that they aren't any good either? Hyperion is like less than half the price as well! Very nice if so..

Get the Hyperions, you won't be sorry, they're awesome packs. Maxamps lipos don't perform like they're priced, too much of their price is the warranty and all teh advertising they do.

There's been a lot of discharge testing done with them on RC Groups and the last time I looked they were somewhere past the 300th cycle. Hyperions way better deal.

Warranty Coverage (For Hyperion.)

Hyperion G3 LiPo Packs are guaranteed as follows:
• Defects in materials and workmanship (solder joints, etc) for one year from date of purchase.
• Persistent imbalance of one cell of greater than 0.06V compared to average of other cell(s) in the pack. Must be reported within 2 months of date of purchase.

Hyperion G3 Packs are NOT guaranteed for the following:
• Physical Damage to the pack occurring after purchase (impact, water/moisture/salt, etc)
• Over-voltage charging, or other error by charger or user setting of charger.
• Use outside of specifications
• Damage due to improper storage (very hot locations, fully charged storage, etc)
• Short circuit
• Improper balance connections to charger
• Returns without copy of Original Receipt
• Returns without accompanying note stating the reason for return
.
(For more; http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/g3lipo/)

The MaxAmps are priced at 2.5 (or so) times the price of a similar Hyperion package. I'm guessing that the MaxAmps warranty covers tossing the lipo pack in a fire and such, since it (the warranty.) has a 100$ish price tag -- Or, twice the standard price for a lipo pack. That's good for someone who's experimenting with lipo and ruins a lot, or something like that I guess.

A friend of mine had a similar warranty on a computer. Very, very expensive, but he could basically throw the computer out of a window, tell the warranty claims people what he did, and get a new one. Direct translation from Norwegian is "foolproof warranty".

wrong... maxamps MAY warantee their pack or they may CHARGE you for the warantee all depends upon age of the lipo and trust me you will need to have them waranteed at sometime. they have the worst track record. NO reason to waste your money and then later waste your time. buy the hyperions be happy and save your money for tires and parts.

That's just downright ridiculous. At such an extreme price, you'd expect to be able to ship it in with a note attached saying "Bored with it. Give me a new one.".

I'm surprised I haven't really heard any bad stuff about MaxAmps, or that people even buy these packs.. If all this is true.

I made a comment on there thread about the flux with their batteries by saying it looks no different then any other battery I have seen in it or used in it myself. The comment was deleted, go figure since they advertise on this site..

In my experience Venom has a good battery......but have heard that
the Hyperion is the way to go.....
I myself would not use a Max Amp since I had a 35c 2s out perform the
Max Amp 49.5c 2s ...both were 5000mah.....
With them deleaating messages they would do better to learn from our
"the customer's critique of thier product"
