Thanks

Really? wow. Do you know anything about it? i.e. Motor Limit, Forward/Reverse or Forward/Brake, etc?

Hey Guys.

I had one of these about 12 years back!!!

Forward and brake, i think the lowest turn motor i ran was about a 15x2

Was great never had any trouble with it.

Would probably be ok for stock racing at the club level, but it's pointless nowadays to buy a speed control that would be questionable with today's high-draw motors and no parts support or warranty.

I think it'd be safer to not use it for bashing, because you tend to be wide open a lot, pushing as many amps as possible through the ESC. If you're using a 15 turn or lower budget mod motor, you could blow it up.

the 't' stood for thermal.. it has a thermal protection in it. the t1 was the high end one at the time. I only used mine for stock class racing, and toward the end for mild mods in my 12L. Lowest turn motor I ever used with it was a 15 x 3. I don't think there was ever a motor limit stated in the packaging. The only notable difference between it and the t1 was lower on resistance, that I can remember. The brake fet is easily replacable with a BUZZ-11 fet, if it happens to be blown out.

well I was gunna be running either a P2K2 Pro or maybe a Dudemann Tweaked P2K2 or something like that. I'm interested in it only for the reason that as TIMMAY! (lol southpark?) said, at one time it was High End... I would like it for having it for stock racing at Family Hobbies in Santee and then I could Have my other Truck for Mod.

Let me clarify: it was its brother, the T-1 that was the high end. The only differences that I can remember in the specs was that the T-4 had slightly higher internal resistance. This is not a 'high frequency' speed control, probably is around the same refresh rate as the signal from the receiver. When I ran stock 1/12, I never ran a heat sink. The controller never got hot, either. But remember, the most we had for cell capacity then were the 1700 SCRs at the time, too.

I personally wouldn't be afraid of running this controller, its pretty bulletproof. But for the first few runs, I would closely monitor the temps coming off the fets to make sure they don't over heat. I never did get a chance to test the Thermal protection built-in to that controller.

I used to have a "4", that is before the "T4". Never any problems. A few years ago, sold it to a friend for his "basher" car, and as far as I know still going strong.
