And by increasing the anti squat that will give me better rear grip or less?

Do you use the shock collars to balance the truck or do you use weights to get the balance you want?

Mine is

LF - 438 RF - 422
LR - 713 RR - 715

Front - 37.6%
Rear - 62.4%

Would think you have to much steering, unless you are racing on a really loose track

Youre putting too much into this. Run your truck. Change something then run it again to feel the difference.

That is good advice, but i got another month until i race again lol, im getting bored and figured i would put as much set up in the truck and start really starting to understand my set up. was into pan car before the off road and had my car down to the point where evreytime i put the car on the track it had the exact same set up evreytime and it was bang on evrey race becuse i understood what i was doing. Its only my third year of offroad and im still learning.

If i had more track time right now that is what i would do, considering we just got a foot of snow last night probably gonna be a while before that happens, have a race coming up in April, on a indoor track and with not much track time to practice gotta have things right when it hits the track.

It seems those of us who ran or still run tarmac are a bit picky on our setups

More front weight does not necessarily mean more steering in many cases less, it depends on surface tyres etc

Those numbers look fine to me

If you do have all that time, maybe move the batt around, reset ride height, re-weigh, have spreadsheet handy for race?

I might actually do that myself now that i think about it lol

Anti-squat is aptly named, it does what it says, not really a more or less traction thing, it just, um, fights "squatting" in the rear on accel, jumps etc

I use small shock collar adjustments to balance, less is more IMO, if I have to move colllars too far, then move electronics

The shock collars are for setting ride height, not so much for balancing the car.

I have run the collars mic'd even, and also adjusted for weight on the scale, and think it jumps "truer" balancing a slight bit (very slight) with the collars.

Theory on why: over time chassis and bulkheads etc. lose their straightness and can start to flex "crooked" pushing weight to whatever side. By giving the side with slightly more corner weight slightly more spring you (in theory) balance that out. I'm not remounting my esc twice a day, I do bring my scale board to any race I care about and readjust before first qual and main.

I used to work (now I just manage) in a shop that did a decent amount of performance suspension work. When I installed lowering springs with coil-over kits (everybody did that in the 90's) I set collars to even ride height on all corners (or whatever ride height I needed, but of course even left to right). There's a whole lot of cars where the bulk of the engine/trans ass'y sits off to one side, and I'm sure those collars wouldn't measure even. But all my cars handled well, drove balanced etc.

This is the experience that led to my experiments. Maybe you think I'm wrong, or it's in my head, heck it could be in my head. If you're the tinkering type though, I think there's a lot to be learned. If you ever have to make a large adjustment, you know something is wrong long before you'd catch it just driving.

i balance my truck on a tweak bar after a big reck. i use the collars for this adj. so they are rarely all the same side to side or front to back
