Which part are you referring to?

These screws?

For some reason whe they made the SC-R they didn't adapt the same design as the RT-5. The two screws that go into the steering rack assembly do not have nuts called out in the instructions. So you have to put 2 2.6mm locknuts on them so that they do not come apart. Just tighten them enough for them to move freely. I also replaced my bushings with bearings. Works awesome.

they screw into the arm of the servo saver, those little spacers need to be there, and the washers too. Page 14, step 5

depends on factors like boost/no boost, size of track etc. but 25-30 pinion with a 78 seems to be the ballpark according to a search of this thread
http://www.rctech.net/forum/search.p...rchid=15139057
I ran 32-34 (orion esc and motor) on a medium size clay track with no boost, dropped a couple teeth depending on the boost.

Kraig,

So you are just CA glueing the servo saver built into the SCR steering system so it's locked?

I am glueing the two plastic pieces together. I also went a step further by locking down the spring but like a previous poster said the bearing wasn't sitting in the nut anymore and it caused it to move around. So I cut down the length of the post so the bearing would sit in it. Then I took another bearing and put it on top so the arm wouldn't move up and down.

I am really happy with how the truck sucks up the track and stays planted but unless I tap the brakes to wip it around it just dont turn well...and off power steering is a struggle. everybody says that is just the way it is. I am thinking now I need some toe in?
Try a little toe out in front and some drag brake. I can post pics of both of my scr's I run a very similar setup to what you posted but I run 1 to 1.5 degrees toe out up front and on my rs pro the drag brake is at 12. My truck will turn in and turn off power just as well as anything at our track. The biggest reason I love my kyosho is the way it turns.
