Default rc8t problems

I am converting over my rc8t to electric and bought rc-monster motor mount. Looks great and fits great. Problem is I want to run 2 batteries in the back so I had to flip the center diff around and have the motor facing forward. Here is where the problem comes in. I have the stock spur gear on it and it hits the chassis. should the center diff be shimmed up or is there another fix for this? I have seen a ton of people with the two batteries in the and if you could help that would be great.

You either need to shim the center diff upward or you have to mill out under the spur gear. I usually avoid raising the diff due to drive shaft angles, but it is the easier answer. Doesn't that truck already have a plate under the center diff?

I am using the smaller plastic spur gear and the diff riser plate. I have plenty of clearance and did not have to clearance the chassis at all.

Well, the stock 54t spur is just too damn big.. I just ordered the 46t plastic econversion spur so I hope that fixes the problem.

Default buggy spur gear

The buggy spur fits perfectly and you don't have to use the riser if you don't want to.It will help lower your center of gravity.
