He's talking about the 808. That car is lighter than the XB8.

The 808 is prolly the lightest buggy, then the mbx6.

The Xray is the lightest. Allmost too light. Check out those stock ultralight CVD's and pinions on Xrays website.

Probally the best buggy to E convert IMO.

My Xray 809 with Tekin 1900, Elite Rc Motor mount, RC monster tray, Slash 4x4 Rx box (mud and dust conditions for me), AKA gridirons, and Turnigy 4500 4s1p hardcase weigh in at 7.5lbs total.

There's nitrobuggies out there that weigh more than 7.5!!!!

Did you mean 8.85 lbs???

My D8t weighs 9.7lbs w a 5800 4s, so your 9.3lb Mugen is a bit light.

I would say the lightest is HSP..

but thats cos its crap

Just weighed my 1:8 HSP truck.

complete, ready to run, with a 5000mah, 4s, 25c lipo, it comes in at 9 pounds (whatever the hell a pound is? ) but thats with monster truck rims and tyres.

No way. Big diffs, old fashioned CVD's and pinion drives if it's like my D8's. The plastic chassis is actually heavier than Aluminum.

There is a really cool Caster dual pack style chassis kit for the VE8. But I'd rather convert a D8.

I think that 7.3-8.0 should be a good weight range for buggy. 9.2-10.0 for truggy.

thanks for the help. What weight are most of the associateds and losi's? these are the only 2 buggys in my area with any LHS support. Will a mmp run either of these buggies at safe temps? I like the idea of the plastic center diff.

Do you mean on top of the shock tower? If so its just a piece of fuel line split down the middle to cover the carbon fiber shock tower, they are quite expensive. I flipped it over 5 or 6 times today and it was fine.
