I went racing with LosiFromHell yesterday, during practice everything was fine up until racetime. We desided to share a transmitter between the both of us, so we ended up just running his truck in the mod class with a spec 19. Jeff was such a nervous reck when he started the first heat he crashed a total of 6 times in the first and only lap of the race. He had run into some of the pipeing along the side of the track and sheared off an arm. We managed to salvage an arm off of my truck by the next race. It was now my turn to run in the second heat. I doubt I was as nervouse as Jeff was on the track. But when the race started I passed one guy. In turn three or four there was a pileup on the second lap, as I made my way around the stranded MF2s I could not see what I was doing. The turn marshals had steped right in my line of site, I made it through the pile up but when one of the marshals was running to get off of the track he cliped the back end of my truck. The truck then wasnt running as good as it had been all day but I managed one more lap untill the motor fell apart in the middle of the track. I guess it was a good thing that happened though because my mom was getting irritated that she had to wait 30 minutes after I told her I would be in front of the Hobby Shop wating for her. I am only 15 and so is my friend but we have both decided that before we go racing next time, we will either have jobs or cars of our own to afford the parts necesary to race, or we will be looking and asking arround the Forums if any one lives neer us and could give us rides to Family Hobbies. All and all the racing experiance was awsome and I cant wait to do it again. Next time I will be sure to bring more than 50$ with me to spend on spare parts.
