Default motor mount eta

Any word or ETA on the motor mounts?

I am just about ready to order my Tekin system and would like to get one the HHH ones and not waste my money on the other 1 piece.

Also an ETA on the Rx CF trays

I used both the punisher and the bulldog. The bulldog almost fits like a glove. The punisher body is nice but a little wider.

Overall the Bulldog is the way to go. It looks alt betther on this car then the punisher.

Here's a few pics of the prototype. The production mounts will be anodized black and laser engraved.

This mount is as easy as it gets..
- loosen the two lockdown screws on top 1/4 turn with a 2.5mm driver
- place the 2.5mm driver into the hole on the side of the mount
- adjust for perfect mesh by turning the captive lead screw as needed
- then tighten the two lockdown screws on top 1/4 turn until snug
- DONE!

-Shown below with a CC 2200kv truggy sized motor connected-
(it fits however we only recommend using buggy sized motors)

Harley,
Looking at the current savage diff set-up that I have on your chassis, I have something for you to think about.

If the motor mount/bearing holder assy was manufactured so as the "rearward" face of the motor mount was in-line with the "rearward" edge of the diff(bearing) face, (this would mount the motor more forward - remember, there is space for the "buggy" size motor to move forward), that would allow for basically any spur gear (not having to be recessed or shimmed) to be fitted to the diff housing.

Mark... I hear what you're saying however even with a typical buggy sized motor there really isn't any room to move forward without eliminating the space that is absolutely necessary for things like chassis flex, sensor wire clearance, etc. This is why we only recommend using buggy sized motors with the HHH Ve8 Motor Mount. Most truggy sized motors will fit however there is not sufficient room for flex and sensor wires, etc.

Any manufacturer could fabricate a mount such as you are describing, however what they would end up with is a mount that creates a whole new set of problems and that equates to a lot of unhappy customers because of a problematic motor mount . Elite RC's Ve8 motor mount is a good example, but lucky for ERC they make a lot of good mounts for other models.

It's probably the best mount I've ever used. I'm loving it. Better than Grid RC and Elite RC mounts.

Hello everyone, just picked up a HHH ve8 from a fellow member on here and I am loving it. I run in sportsman class and usually fight not to be dead last ( with my vorza). With the HHH i tqd and lapped everyone but 2nd in the main. Lap times were comparable to the expert class with only one day of wheel time. I gotta say this is a sweet buggy and the build of the chassis is second to none. So thank you HHH for making a awsome product and I look foward to reading this thread.

Harley,

I placed an order with HHH Industries and made payment on Monday the 12th. I got an email Tuesday asking me to confirm the shipping address and stating that the order would be shipping within 48 hours which I responded to the same day. I never got any kind of response which isn't a big deal, and over the weekend I emailed HHH to confirm that the order had shipped and to inquire about a tracking number since I wasn't sure if you generally provided tracking or not. I also sent you a PM here on rctech. I waited and figured that you may not check emails or do business over the weekend which is completely understandable, but figured I'd hear something by Monday. At this point I've still heard nothing back from HHH Industries. I don't know if the order has shipped or if it hasn't, and if it has, what carrier I should be expecting the package from. It sure would be cool to know though. The email on the order is the same as my username here on rctech. Thanks.
